You set out with gloves, twine, seed packets, pruning snips -- and, for reasons that remain a mystery -- a paintbrush.

It turns out the paintbrush is surprisingly handy for brushing dirt off flowerpots, cleaning off garden markers, dusting pollen from your hands, or simply living in the basket because apparently it has decided that's where it belongs.

By the time you head back inside, the basket is carrying fresh herbs, a handful of flowers, one perfectly ripe tomato, and a pocketful of ideas for tomorrow.

These baskets are my personal go-to for everything I need to do in the garden. I've even left it out in the rain, and it's still good as new!
